About the IBBFA CBI Credential
What does this credential mean?

The Certified Barre Instructor (CBI) is issued by IBBFA — the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association, the professional credentialing authority for barre fitness instruction since 2008. CBI candidates must pass a 60-question written examination drawn from a 300-question bank and complete a live practical evaluation with an IBBFA Master Instructor proctor. The CBI curriculum covers anatomy and physiology, barre technique fundamentals, class design and sequencing, cueing and communication, safety protocols, and scope-of-practice guidelines. Credentials are publicly listed in the IBBFA registry and can be verified independently at ibbfa.org/verify/.
