Maintain Your Active Status
Your certification never expires — but your Active standing is what keeps you visible to studios, employers, and clients across both ibbfa.org and BarreWorkout.com.
What Active Status Includes
Active standing powers your professional visibility — your profiles, your verification status, your access to the hire and substitute network, and your continuing education.
ibbfa.org Professional Profile
Your credential, specialties, location, photo, and bio — visible to studios and employers searching the IBBFA directory. Includes proxy contact form so you control who reaches you.
View directory →Verifiable Current Standing
Your credential level and Active status are shown whenever anyone looks you up — studios, employers, insurance carriers. No contact with IBBFA required on their end.
Check your status →BarreWorkout.com Consumer Profile
A separate, client-facing profile on BarreWorkout.com where consumers find local barre instructors. Includes your class formats, pricing, schedule, and booking link.
View BarreWorkout.com →Hire & Substitute Network
Mark yourself as available for hire or substitute teaching. Studios searching for instructors in your area see your availability badge — and can reach you directly or through IBBFA's free matching service.
How studios find you →Live Webinar Access
Attend recurring technique sessions, biomechanics Q&A, and exam prep — in English and Spanish. Two webinars per year satisfy your annual maintenance requirement.
See schedule →Video Library & Quiz
Ongoing access to technique refreshers, continuing education materials, and the Recertification Quiz — a fast, flexible alternative to webinar attendance for your annual maintenance.
Two Profiles, Two Audiences
Active status gives you a professional presence on two platforms — each reaching the audience that matters for your career.

Your Included Active Period
Every IBBFA certification includes an Active period from the date of enrollment — no renewal required during that window. The $99/year maintenance begins only after the included period ends.
Renewing before your expiration date keeps you at $99/year. After a lapse, reactivation starts at $149 (effective September 1, 2026).
